The History of Veterinary Medicine Through Eyes of The WVMA Past-presidents

The History of Veterinary Medicine Through                                   Eyes of the WVMA Past-presidents

A brief summary of the history of veterinary medicine in Wisconsin - 1951 to 2016

                                                   by Fred J. Born, DVM

This document is dedicated to all of the WVMA past-
presidents who have given us a living history of
                     veterinary medicine in Wisconsin.

        WVMA PAST-PRESIDENTS

Editor’s note:  Photos of the WVMA past-presidents from 1920 to 1954, came from thestate of Dr. Delwin Campbell.
Dr. Campbell was the author of “Veterinary Military History of
the United States With a Brief Record of the Development of
Veterinary Education, Practice, Organization and Legislation”
Vol. One and Vol. Two.  A box of photos was given by the
family of Dr. Campbell to Dr. Howard Erickson, KSU professor
of veterinary history.   Dr. Erickson, a friend who knew that I
was working on the history of veterinary medicine in Wisconsin,
sent a packet of 44 photos, including these 8 WVMA past-
presidents.    I have transferred these items to the WVMA office
to be placed in the WVMA archives.
